KIWI CAN RANGITIKE
Fortunately, the hard-working Kiwi Can team have never said “I can’t”. In eleven schools around the Rangitikei region, they teach kids self-confidence, responsibility and above all, a ‘can do’ attitude. They deliver high-energy, interactive lessons based around themes such as healthy eating, goal setting, teamwork and community. Allan Pond, Principal of Marton Junction School, first introduced Kiwi Can ten years ago to help youth development in rural communities. Since then, he has seen a hugely positive impact (in fact, an original Kiwi Can student was so inspired that she became a Kiwi Can leader). So when Kiwi Can asked the Lion Foundation to help fund their local programmes, we were pleased to say 'Can Do'.
