ROYAL NEW ZEALAND BALLET
NOW KIDS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY CAN GIVE BALLET A WHIRL, THANKS TO ROYAL NEW ZEALAND BALLET'S EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMMES.
As well as being one of the most enjoyable activities to take part in and witness, dance is also one of the most challenging. No less challenging, is bringing this experience closer to home in our schools and communities.
The Lion Foundation is the major supporter of the Royal New Zealand Ballet’s Dance Explorer Programme, designed to take dance to the people along with community and education activities around each of the three national tours. Events include school workshops and special performances, plus opportunities for the general public to watch the dancers warm up prior to a performance or attend a Q&A session. Many of these community events are free.
