HOW OUR APPROVAL PROCESS WORKS

Our grants team works hard to process applications as quickly as possible. Despite the fluctuation in the number of grant applications received in any given month, we can usually respond within eight weeks of receiving a completed application form.

Applications of up to $50,000 are reviewed by our Net Proceeds Committee who meet regularly.

Larger applications (for amounts of $50,000 or more) are reviewed by our Board of Trustees who meet once a month.

Our Board of Trustees make final decisions for all grant allocations, ensuring the integrity and robustness of The Lion Foundation grants process.

Payments are usually made within ten days of a grant being approved. The Lion Foundation is required to pay grants by direct credit to the applicant organisation's bank account.
