KNOW YOUR ACCOUNTABILITY: AUDIT AND INSPECTION REQUIREMENT

The DIA requires that all applications for grants must include a 'Consent to Audit' signed on the application form by the applicant organisation to verify receipt and correct use of funds.

The records of The Lion Foundation are liable for inspection and/or audit by the DIA. Applications are made on the understanding that if any DIA Officer requests it, the applicant organisation/body shall agree to and participate in (at its own expense) any such inspection or audit.

It is a licence condition that the grant be applied for the purpose stated and no other purpose and that acceptance of the payment will be deemed to confirm that the grant has or will be applied accordingly.

Note: if there is a change in circumstances or costs, you must contact our Audit Department in writing to seek approval for any proposed amendments to the authorised purpose.

In the event of non-compliance with any of these conditions, an amount equal to the amount of the grant is immediately repayable by the recipient organisation to The Lion Foundation.
